Introduction:
Start your day with a hearty, protein-packed breakfast that will keep you energized and satisfied until lunch. The Steak and Mushroom Omelette is a savory and fulfilling dish that combines tender steak with earthy mushrooms, all wrapped up in a fluffy, delicious omelette. Ingredients:

  • 150 g steak (such as sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced or cubed
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini work well)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional, cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or fresh minced garlic (optional)

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the steak:
    Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with a pinch of salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Once the skillet is hot, add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until it’s browned on the outside but still tender and juicy on the inside. If you’re using thicker steak pieces, you may need to cook them a little longer. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. Cook the mushrooms and onions (optional):
    In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil or butter. Add the sliced mushrooms (and onions, if using) and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the mushrooms are soft and golden. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you’d like extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce and sauté for another minute.

  3. Make the omelette:
    In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and slightly frothy. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet over the cooked mushrooms (and onions), ensuring the eggs cover the surface evenly. Let the eggs cook for about 2-3 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still slightly runny.

  4. Add steak and cheese (optional):
